MARK ALLEN has urged Shaun Murphy to “leave personal feelings out of the comment box” after he was criticized for an “annoying” tactic.
Allen, 38, lost 6-5 to Barry Hawkins in the semi-finals of the British Championship Saturday in a closely fought match.

Murphy42, was in the comment field for the BBC and questioned Allen’s reasoning for taking his time with his shots.
He said: “Now it’s completely within the rules, but at what stage are we asking whether the amount of time Mark Allen takes to make simple decisions is a tactic to irritate his opponent?
“I think we are witnessing an extremely smart, well-thought-out play from Mark Allen to beat the man.
‘It’s an old-fashioned tactic. It comes from a playbook that my generation and Mark’s generation come from. And it falls perfectly within the rules.
‘But I don’t see any other reason why it’s taking so long. Looking at Barry in his chair, you could say it worked.”
Murphy has had verbal exchanges with Allen in the past, previously labeling him “rude and amateurish.” The Northern Irishman responded by calling The Magician ‘irrelevant’“.

Hawkins will be confronted Judd Trump in the UK Championship final on Sunday.
